Thank you for your interest in northern ecology research at the University of Victoria. I am always keen to discuss research opportunities with potential graduate students. The best way to begin this conversation is to send me a summary of your relevant academic, professional, and personal experiences and a synopsis of your research interests. In your email please include a current CV and an unofficial copy of your transcripts. Graduate students in my lab are typically supported by a combination of scholarships and assistantships (teaching and research). Qualifying for these awards typically requires a minimum grade point average of 80%. If you are eligible, you should also apply for major national scholarships (NSERC, SSHRC, NSF).  Applications to our MSc, MA, and PhD programs are due January 15th. Please make sure to get in touch well before this deadline.

If you are interested in joining the lab as a post-doctoral researcher please contact me to discuss research ideas and potential sources of funding. If our research interests overlap significantly, I will be happy to contribute to the development of funding applications (NSERC, SSHRC, NSF, etc.)
